Boom type EWP 11m or more (Work Ready) This course commences with a full day training session specifying the skills and knowledge required to safely operate a boom-type elevating work platform (EWP) where the length of the boom is 11 metres or more.
Introduction:
Boom-type elevating work platform means a telescoping device, hinged device or articulated device or any combination of these, used to support a platform on which personnel, equipment and materials may be elevated.
The course is tailored to suit those individuals who do not have regular access to an EWP in a workplace environment and cannot achieve workplace training. The course is scheduled for 3-days, however learners will be assessed on their practical abilities prior to undertaking licensing assessments.
Should the trainer feel a learner requires further practical training after undergoing a skill pre-assessment, the learner may be required to return to the facility at the next available date to complete additional practical training session(s) before undergoing their final practical licensing assessment. Should this be required, a re-attendance fee may apply.
Target Audience:
A logbook course enable students who are 17 to complete formal training and work towards their licence supervised until they turn 18. A student must be 18 to complete license assessments.
Log book courses are the first two days of the course, the assessor will allocate an appropriate amount of hours for the student to complete prior to completing licencing assessments.
