Whether you are a beginner or advanced, prefer ballet to funk, then Mount Dance Co has a class for you and all of our classes are taught in a fun, friendly and inspiring environment!

  • Creative Director behind Mount Dance Co. Donna settled in NZ in 2010 after many years of a successful career performing dance and teaching around the world. I began dance in Hamilton, Scotland where I cried my way through my first ballet class. This didn't stop my love and passion for movement . I qualified as a teacher with BATD. Already in the dance profession I co created an agency which trained and supplied dancers for employment all over the uk and Europe. Continuing on with dance education I picked up more qualifications in dance for clients with disabilities, choreography, teaching, commercial dance, conducting movement and dance in the community and much more. Holding a degree in dance I love contemporary, contact improvisation, hip hop, jazz, lyrical, freestyle and I also teach wedding dances, special needs and team/event choreography. I am very passionate about what I do and love being involved in the community. My aim is to give our future performers amazing life experiences and performance experience as well as giving them a fun safe environment to meet new friends, keep fit and be part of something. I have been lucky enough to have experienced the benefits that dance provides and it has helped me overcome many obstacles. I love to see others getting the most out of life irrelevant of the situation and love nothing more than helping them to build memories that they will live with and look back on.
