This course provides participants with to practice using on-site breathing apparatus in a realistic training environment, while demonstrating the breathing apparatus skills appropriate to their role in the organisation.
This course is designed to prepare designated staff members to use on-site breathing apparatus at the clients’ premises. Course participants are trained and assessed to National Code PUAFIR207A level and issued with a Statement of Attainment.
Aim:
To provide participants with the opportunity to practice in a realistic training environment and demonstrate breathing apparatus skills appropriate to their role in the organisation.
Learning Objectives:
By the end of the course the participants will:
Be familiar with the operation of the breathing apparatus.
Be able to efficiently follow the manufacturers’ start-up and donning procedure.
Be able to demonstrate their ability to use breathing apparatus safely and to correctly utilisesearch and rescue techniques.
Understand and identify with the importance of Entry Control, leadership, communication, and fire team safety.
Understand the importance of breathing apparatus maintenance.
