Entry Requirements
Level 1 Vocational Courses: Students are required to have 4 GCSEs at grade 1-9Level 2 Vocational Courses: Students typically progress from the Level 1 course.
*Students may qualify for direct enrolment onto our Level 2 courses for ages 16-18. Eligibility will be determined by teachers during the enrolment process and will require an average G-Score of 4. Students are also required to attend a college interview.

This short introductory course is aimed at those students wishing to gain some understanding and some practical experience of bricklaying.
As an apprenticeship you are employed as full-time members of staff and typically work for an employer three to four days a week. One or two days a week is spent at college, studying for nationally-recognised qualifications in the same profession as the apprenticeship.
This qualification will help students learn, develop and practise the skills required for a career in Bricklaying. You will learn the basic bricklaying techniques, skills and terminology used by a bricklayer. This introduction will give you the confidence to take your first steps into a career in bricklaying.
This apprenticeship standard is suitable for Bricklayers whose role involves laying bricks, blocks and other types of building components in mortar to construct and repair walls, foundations, partitions, arches and other structures such as chimney stacks.
