Entry Requirements
Level 1 Vocational Courses: Students are required to have 4 GCSEs at grade 1-9Level 2 Vocational Courses: Students typically progress from the Level 1 course.
*Students may qualify for direct enrolment onto our Level 2 courses for ages 16-18. Eligibility will be determined by teachers during the enrolment process and will require an average G-Score of 4. Students are also required to attend a college interview.

New students will enter at Level 1. Progression throughout the course will be assessed by the completion of theory and practical work modules. No final test examinations are required to complete the learning, just ongoing evidence of you performing real construction tasks.

Bricklayers lay bricks, blocks and other types of building components in mortar to construct and repair walls, foundations, partitions, arches and other structures eg chimney stacks.
You will learn the basic bricklaying techniques, skills and terminology used by a bricklayer. This introduction will give you the confidence to take your first steps into a career in bricklaying.
You’ll develop the skills and knowledge you need to enter the bricklaying trade within the construction industry. Covering both practical and theoretical aspects of the bricklaying trade, this course offers an ideal introduction to the sector.
