Courses lead to nationally recognized qualifications that are divided into three units for Level 1 and four units for Level 2. Each unit for Level 1 can be achieved separately. For Level 2, learners are required to enroll onto the 25-week course.

BSL Level 1: Part 1

You will be taught by a trained and experienced deaf BSL tutor. Having a deaf tutor (the equivalent to a native speaker) has its benefits. Students acquire real experience communicating with deaf people and have a better understanding of how interaction with signs takes place.

BSL Level 1: Part 2

This is for you if you have prior knowledge of British Sign Language or you have completed the Level 1 Award - Part 1 (Signature Unit 102 or iBSL equivalent). You will continue developing basic conversational skills to enable you to make yourself understood and to find out information in everyday situations.

You will be taught by a trained and experienced deaf BSL tutor enabling students to acquire real experience communicating with deaf people and have a better understanding of how interaction with signs takes place.

BSL Level 1: Part 3

This is for you if you have prior knowledge of British Sign Language or you have completed the Level 1 Award - Parts 101 and 102Signature or iBSL equivalent. You will continue developing basic conversational skills and basic receptive skills to enable you to make yourself understood and to find out information in everyday situations.

You will be taught by a trained and experienced deaf BSL tutor enabling students to acquire real experience communicating with deaf people and have a better understanding of how interaction with signs takes place.

BSL Level 2

This is for you if you have completed and passed either the full Signature BSL Level 1 Award (Units 101, 102 and 103) or the full iBSL Level 1 Award (Units 1A1, 1A2 and 1A3).
