The University of Salford, Manchester are offering a range of language courses to anyone who wishes to develop their language in a friendly, supportive environment. Each course will be taught over a 22-week period at our Peel Park campus, just five minutes from Manchester city centre.

This course is for anyone who is interested in learning the basics of BSL and finding out more about Deaf culture and history. It is open to York St John staff and students, and members of the public. You do not need any specific qualifications to join the course.

This is Part 2 of the L1 BSL qualification and is a continuation from the Introduction to Signed Communication (Z061). It will enable students to progress to the formal Signature Level 1 examinations.
