British Sign Language: Level 1

This course is for anyone who wishes to learn some basic techniques of British Sign Language. You do not need any previous experience of British Sign Language to start this class, it will introduce you to techniques used to help you decide if you would like to progress to an accredited course.

This British Sign Language Improvers course builds on prior knowledge and continues to assist learners to communicate more effectively with deaf people at a basic level. This course is designed to enable you to develop an ability to communicate with Deaf people using BSL in a range of familiar contexts, participating in longer and more open conversation than at a beginner’s course.
