Gilkisons is a new age environment of social dance with a twist on the old fashion stigma that was dancing for years,using modern music,lighting and sound,with a fully licensed bar and air conditioned premises.
The name GILKISONS has been synonymous with the dancing scene since 1931. Many innovations were pioneered by GILKISONS such as teaching at high school and primary school level, television teaching and presentations, learning to dance socially without having to do exams or medals, producing the Festival of Perth championships and other international dancing events at the Entertainment Centre.

Waltz Dance classes are offered by SA Ballroom & Latin Social Dance Studio. Originally a forbidden dance, the Waltz was the first dance that involved a couple dancing in close contact.
Absolute Beginners can have just as much fun as Advanced dancers in our low pressure class environment – it’s a blast!
A fun Cha Cha Cha Class will start later in the year and we hope you will get into the groove with that one. Cha Cha Cha is an absolute favourite dance in the Latin style.
If you were after something very simple and you are both quick learners, then we always suggest a minimum of 10 Private Lessons.
