You’ll work with key industry standard tools, such as Microsoft Excel and Xero, and also look ahead to the technologies – such as automation and artificial intelligence – that will affect the work of accountants in the future.
The University programme is accredited by major industry bodies including the ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA and ICAEW, so you know that what you learn is aligned with industry standards. If you choose to study accredited modules, you can benefit from exemptions from a number of professional body examinations.

The University of Salford, Manchester are offering a range of language courses to anyone who wishes to develop their language in a friendly, supportive environment. Each course will be taught over a 22-week period at our Peel Park campus, just five minutes from Manchester city centre.
All our language classes are centered around our students and have been designed to develop practical language skills.
Each course will run from September to May with a choice of afternoon or early evening sessions available. Each week you will attend a two-hour class to help progress and consolidate your learning around the four core skills of listening, reading, speaking and writing.
You will learn with students and members of staff from the University. Together you will work towards achieving learning outcomes, gaining a range of transferable skills such as focused listening, teamwork and cultural appreciation.
You will also benefit from a large range of online resources and materials through our virtual learning environment, Blackboard.
This course offers a fully integrated degree that combines accounting and finance subjects. It is designed for students who seek to broaden their knowledge in both the accounting and finance disciplines.
This qualification is a degree apprenticeship, equivalent to a Level 7 qualification. We offer two routes to study this apprenticeship, ACCA and CIMA. Upon gaining your qualification, you will be awarded with either the ACCA or CGMA designation depending on the route you choose to study.
