Course Details

BSc (Hons) Cyber Security and Networking is offered online by NCC Education and is a logical progression from Level 5 Diploma in Computing with Cyber Security. The University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) awards this final year degree.

The program aims to provide graduates with the knowledge, technical skills, and interpersonal skills necessary for participation in the design, implementation, management, and security of modern computer systems.

  • Full-time: 21 Months

 

Note: Our Industrial Training and Internship program includes a guaranteed 6 months paid internship (from 10 hours to 40 hours per week) with a technology company. Due to visa restrictions, some international students may not be able to participate in this program.

The BSc (Hons) Cyber Security and Networking top up degree is delivered online by NCC Education and is a natural progression from our Level 5 Diploma in Computing with Cyber Security. This final year is awarded by the University of Central Lancashire (abbreviated UCLan).

The programme aims to equip graduates with the knowledge, technical and interpersonal skills necessary for taking part in the design, implementation, management and security of modern computer systems. The objective of this course is to give students an understanding of how information systems, network infrastructure, and the overall cyber-physical environment of an organisation are susceptible to attack, and to acquire practical skills related to the assessment and management of cybersecurity risks.

You will learn the main areas of the discipline, including Cyber Security, Security Control, Cyber Security Risks Management, Network Engineering, Information Systems, and Software Development, along with a variety of specialised topics within the areas of networks and cybersecurity, including Network Monitoring and Business Continuity.

The course will prepare you to gain widely accepted industry-specific standards in areas such as information security management systems, project management, cybersecurity essentials, and risk management.

You may be interested in our Computer Science with Foundation Year program if you wish to pursue a degree in this field without meeting the standard entry requirements.
