Qualifications in Level 2 Skills for Professions in Business, Administration and Finance aim to provide learners with the skills and knowledge required to progress to further study related to business, administration and finance and ultimately to work in these or related sectors.

Course Content
This qualification is for learners wishing to explore vocational study to enhance their employability and learning skills in preparation for further vocational learning, into employment or on to an apprenticeship.

  • These units are chosen for not only developing administrative skills but also transferrable skills into other more generic roles.

The course covers the following units :

  • The Role of an Administrator
  • Communication Skills for Business
  • Finance in a business context
  • Word Processing
  • Supporting Sustainability in an Office Environment
  • Practical Presentation Skills

Entry Requirements

  • To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.
  • To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.
  • You must have English which is at least working towards Level 1 which is assessed through the college English testing system (BKSB) and a piece of free writing.

You will also need a good level of Digital Skills literacy at a minimum of Level 1 - being able to use email, the internet and word processing for your assignments.

First Class Requirements

  • Pen, Folder and Notepad is desirable to take notes.
  • You are encouraged to bring your own technology - Mobile and / or a tablet.

Attendance Requirements

  • Qualification courses require a high level of attendance.
  • You are expected to attend all classes and arrive on time.
  • Failure to attend to the adequate level and without prior notice and reason can breach the learner code of conduct and lead to withdrawal.

Assessment Methods

  • Your course will be assessed through the development of building a portfolio of evidence across the units.
