Business English

This course is tailored for learners who wants to enhance their confidence in interactions at work using the English language in various business-related settings. It could be in the office, at a trade fair, during presentations, when marketing a product, handling meeting arrangements, rescheduling appointments or more.

The program concentrates on the development of speaking, listening and presentation skills with a lesser focus on reading and writing.

Learning Outcomes (include but not limited to):

• The ability to approach business-related interactions with accurate use of grammatical structures will be cultivated in LMF’s Business English course.
• Participants will be exposed to a wide range of common English phrases which will aid in developing excellent productive skills – students should be able to apply the phrases they have learned in their conversations at work effortlessly after a period of classroom practice.
• Students will acquire a wider Business English vocabulary range (formal and informal categories).
• Learners will also be able to relate to applicable business-related customs of some native English-speaking nations (the shaking of hands, eye contact, table manners, and other non-verbal cues).
• Observational skills in analyzing and comprehending videos in LMF’s Business English language lessons will see to the improvement of learner’s overall linguistic ability.
• Translational ability formed between a learner’s native language and the English language will strengthen over the course of study, with additional support in comprehending aspects in translations between Mandarin and English available to speakers of the Chinese language.
• The positive achievement of completing the course would also boost individual self-confidence in outstanding discipline, social and time management skills gained from attending the lessons in-house.
