The course is made up of 16 units including 1 professional practice portfolio which will allow you to link your classroom based theory into practice.
You will be required to undertake significant periods of work placement which will be assessed to develop your competence when caring for and interacting with babies
and young children.
A minimum of 750 placement hours is required within the following 3 age ranges:
This will be followed by a specialised placement, in the area of your choice. This will be highlighted upon your yearly timetable showing where block periods of study/placement will occur.

This BPCA course is for anyone who will deliver training. Before attending the classroom section of the course you will be asked to join the eLearning community and to carry out a number of readings and tasks.
