This course is recognized by the WSIB and satisfies requirements in the Ontario Public Pools regulation.
Candidates will also receive a separate Heartsaver CPR wallet card after successful completion of all CPR skills.
All full certification courses are offered in the blended learning format, so an online component is completed at home before the class.
The course includes training to recognize an opioid overdose, to administer naloxone and to acquaint the worker with any hazards related to the administration of naloxone.
Standard First Aid incorporates all of Emergency First Aid and is designed for those who require a more in-depth joint injuries, chest injuries, and medical emergencies.
