The Royal Victoria Yacht Club was founded in June 1892 and is the oldest yacht club in western Canada. Our main Clubhouse and marina is located on the protected waters of Cadboro Bay while our Tsehum Haven outstation is located in the nearby town of Sidney.
Our club promotes yachting, boating, navigation, seamanship and offers racing events, cruising excursions, moorage, kayaks & stand up paddle board rentals (free of charge), dining, themed events and much more.

For formal basic sailing training, CANSail 1/2 introduces novice members to boat handling, the different points of sail, and other basic sailing skills.
This course covers the basics of sailing and will allow you to discover if you are ready for your next adventure!
For members new to sailing we offer introductory sail training on the best-maintained fleet of vessels out of Jericho Sailing Centre
This program is designed for complete beginners and for those wishing to refresh their sailing skills.
The Introduction to Adult Keelboat Sailing Class is designed specifically for those new to sailing or with little sailing experience.
