This qualification aims to give learners knowledge and understanding of the key principles of dignity, duty of care and safeguarding as applied to adult health and social care.
Learners will investigate the principles and how they are applied in everyday work contexts. They’ll also have an opportunity to examine the dilemmas that can arise and the consequences when these principles aren’t upheld.

This qualification is ideal if you have little or no experience, you will learn about a variety of aspects in Health Care and is a great way to see if this industry is for you.
This qualification will help you to go directly into paid employment and support you to find volunteer placements, it provides a great starting point for deciding whether a career in the sector is right for you and provides an introduction into the sector. You could also go onto complete an apprenticeship or higher level qualification.
