Course Details

This class is designed to concentrate on activities which generate the highest level of accidents and injuries in road construction and maintenance work zones. It will help participants recognize unsafe work practices and reduce or eliminate hazards from the work environment.

  • Caught in/between - heavy equipment

  • Health hazards in construction

  • Material handling

  • Hand and power tools

  • Excavations, stairways, and ladders

 

Certificate

Upon successful course completion, participants will receive a certificate of completion from UTA's Public Works Institute.

 

Continuing Education

This course has been approved for 7.5 continuing education credit hours by the County Judges & Commissioners Association of Texas. This course is also recognized for 1.2 CEU's from TCEQ Water and Wastewater Operators.
