CELPIP General

CELPIP (Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program) is a recently introduced standardised test used to determine the English language proficiency of non-native speakers seeking permanent residency, university admission, or citizenship in Canada.

The CELPIP Test is used to assess test takers’ ability to function in English. The test measures a test taker’s ability to communicate clearly, accurately, and precisely in a variety of everyday situations, including communicating with coworkers and superiors at work, interacting with friends, comprehending newscasts, and interpreting and responding to written materials.

CELPIP General

The CELPIP General test is required for applications for permanent residence and professional designations. This test measures the test taker’s ability to communicate in English through speaking, reading, listening, and writing.

It is an Internet-based Test (IBT) that is administered at designated approved testing centres in a variety of countries. The CELPIP General test assesses your ability to use and comprehend English.
