Day time Course

The proposed next day time CELTA course is proposed to run from September to December (dates to be confirmed).

• Our courses are run normally three times per year (January, April, September) in small groups (maximum of eight trainees) 

• We believe that it is important for our trainees to learn to teach EFL in a real language-learning environment.

• Our centre offers the chance to work alongside adult foreign learners of all nationalities

• We have experienced teachers and the course is run in friendly, comfortable surroundings.

The courses are held on weekdays (Tuesdays and Thursdays) in the day-time (09.30 to 16.30) over a period of approximately eleven weeks and some Saturdays maybe included due to bank holidays. We are a well-equipped language school in the centre of Reading.

The classrooms are bright, and have TV, video, CD players, whiteboards, overhead projectors and PC/laptop projectors. We also have access to computers and a wide range of resource materials.

We are delighted to say that we have just had our goverment inspection (ISI) in November 2023.  We have been approved as EXCELLENT for our Teaching.  Thank you to all the hard work from the students and teachers.

We have been an English Language Centre since 1984 and we welcome you to our current Academic Term. There are eight members of staff who are qualified and experienced teachers, and up to 100 international students at any one time.

We offer full-time and part-time courses in general English.  There are day time and evening time classes, and also the £2.50 classes with the new teachers in training.

The school is in an attractive historic building in a quiet conservation area in the heart of Reading.  It is only 5 minutes' walk from the Oracle central shopping and leisure area.
