This is one of the courses that is approved by SCDF under CERT (Company Emergency Response Teams) first aid requirements to certified competent in basic first aid and resuscitation with AED skills.
The CPR + AED course module is accredited by the Singapore Resuscitation and First Aid Council (SRFAC). It also includes the management of injuries,bandaging and operating of the AED in an emergency situation. This is the most important live-saving skill everyone should acquire.

The CERT Scheme was expanded to include a broader group of Public and Industrial premises with the amendments to the Fire Safety Act on 14 September 2020. In the updated Fire Safety Act (Chapter 109A), all premises with Fire Safety Managers are required to set up a CERT.
This course equips participants with basic first aid knowledge and emphasises on the do(s) and don't(s) of treating victims before a qualified medical team arrives on scene.
