Core Units:
This course is structured with the focus on individual learner needs. It is open for a period of 12 months but can be completed much sooner. Our Certificate III in Individual Support can be undertaken as either a day or evening course depending on each learner’s circumstances.
Every effort is made to arrange the practical work as soon as possible after the theory has been completed and in close proximity to the learner’s home. However, there can sometimes be delays due to learner numbers, facility commitments, and availability of places.

This qualification reflects the role of care workers in the age care, disability and community setting who follow an individualised plan to provide person-centred support to people who may require support due to ageing, disability, or some other reason.
This unit of study takes a case study approach to clinical assessment to promote a better understanding of the ageing process, theories of ageing and changes in physiology. The unit aims to equip the student with the skills and knowledge needed to assess older people holistically.
This course develops communication and leadership skills and provides knowledge to plan, develop, implement and monitor programs and services for elderly people. This qualification is being beneficial for entry to Enrolled Nursing and helpful to Bachelor of Nursing.
