The course can improve personal and professional relationships and involves experiential elements that will require some personal disclosure and associated personal developmental activities. It can also enhance your existing skills if you are in a supporting role, improving employment progression opportunities.
This is not just the start of counselling training but a robust qualification on its own. As well as learning about using counselling skills within a helping role, you will also embark on your personal development programme.
Full attendance of 5 hours per week, one day per week for 20 weeks is required and is equivalent of 90 Guided learning hours (GLH). The course is highly interactive with others in your group and includes weekly written work, an essay, skills practice and group work.
