This qualification will develop the knowledge and awareness of the types of provision in the Health, Social Care and Children’s and Young People’s sectors. It includes the roles played by workers, from principles and values through to health and safety and working with others.
The qualification:
is aimed at learners who wish to develop an understanding of these settings before deciding whether working in the sector is for them
allows learners to gain the knowledge, understanding and skills required for employment and/or career progression in the sectors
allows learners to tailor their learning to their interests through the provision of a broad range of optional units
provides opportunities for the development of transferable skills
supports progression to Level 2 qualifications in health, social care or children's settings
provides learners with the opportunity to progress to employment, in due course, in a range of job roles in the care sectors.

The key to RHACC’s recent growth and success has been its ability to adapt to the challenges of constantly changing social and economic trends, as well as responding to major changes in Government Policy on adult funding. As a result, our achievement rates are above national standards and we were rated as a Grade 2 "Good" college by Ofsted in January 2020.

The Award in Mental Health First Aid Understanding course is ideal for anybody who wants to improve their knowledge and awareness of mental health for themselves and others, such as coworkers and friends.
The Level 3 First Aid at Work (statutory) course complies with the current Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. Successful students receive certificates to show that they are qualified to be First Aiders in the workplace for the next three years.

This 1-day practical course provides a basic background to the structure and requirements of ISO 13485 and how it relates to frameworks such as the Medical Device Regulations (MDR). Students benefit from interactive sessions where they can develop the knowledge they gain.
Using a variety of basic and advanced massage movements, you will learn how to perform a professional full body massage. You will be taken through a pre-treatment consultation and shown how to adapt your massage to suit the needs for a range of client.
