This Qualification is for people who want to gain the skills and knowledge required to perform a broad range of tasks in a commercial kitchen. SIT40516 Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery reflects the role of commercial cooks who have a supervisory or team leading role in the kitchen. They operate independently or with limited guidance from others and use discretion to solve non-routine problems.
This qualification is suitable for International Students who wish to study in Australia and develop skills and knowledge within the hospitality industry. Students are required to hold a current Australian visa with study rights to commence this course.
All students are required to undertake practical training as part of their course in the College’s commercial kitchen in addition to a work placement.

SIT31016 – Certificate III in Patisserie reflects the role of pastry chefs who use a wide range of well-developed patisserie skills and sound knowledge of kitchen operations to produce patisserie products.
This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to become competent as a qualified commercial cook who uses a wide range of cookery skills.
The Fast track Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery course enables graduates to start careers in a range of hospitality establishments in the capacity of Chef and Chef de partie.
