The EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) affects all businesses that deal with the data of EU citizens. First introduced in 2018, the Regulation provides a single directive for all countries within the European Union, which governs how they should protect and process data, as well as how it should be transferred outside the EU or EEA.
Our 4-day Certified EU General Data Protection Regulation Foundation and Practitioner course provide complete guidance on what the law says and how businesses can remain compliant.
It combines our EU GDPR Foundation and Practitioner 2-day courses into one convenient package for learning. EU GDPR certification demonstrates to employers that you have the capability to fully plan and implement a GDPR compliance programme. It also provides the knowledge required for delegates to fulfil DPO (Data Protection Officer) roles in organisations.
The first 2 days of the course looks at the fundamentals of GDPR, including its key implementation and compliance activities. This includes its terminology, the differences between GDPR and the DPA (Data Protection Act), the rights of data subjects, lawful processing and more.
This concludes with the GDPR Foundation exam, upon the passing of which candidates will gain their GDPR Foundation certification. The final 2 days focus on how to plan for and demonstrate compliance with the Regulation.
This includes notification obligations, penalties for non-compliance, data breach reporting, gap analysis and more. The course concludes with the GDPR Practitioner exam after which candidates will be certified GDPR Practitioners.
