School is a state-approved facility or administering CNA State Approved Curriculum CNA must pass NY State examination. The examination is administered by Prometric and can be taken at E.D.P.
The CNA course is designed to prepare students to perform the basic skills required for working in hospitals, and nursing homes. Students must successfully complete the course and internship to be eligible to take the NY State license examination.
Upon successful completion of the course and internship, the student receives a certificate from the school. The students must pass a licensure examination administered by NY State on school premises in order to be employed as CNA.

In this course, students learn essentials skills for providing basic care to patients in a hospital, long-term care facility, home health, assisted living, or rehabilitation facility.
This class will teach you the skills, knowledge and abilities to care for patients of long-term care facilities. Â You will learn how to provide safety and preventive measures in the care of patients as well as how to function as a member of the health care team.
Students will learn how to provide basic nursing care to residents and learn how to communicate effectively based on the psychosocial needs of residents and their families.
The practical nurse functions to the level of their educational preparation and under the direct supervision of a registered nurse, mid-level provider, or licensed physician. The curriculum prepares the graduate to challenge the state board examination for practical nurse licensure.
