In this course, students learn essentials skills for providing basic care to patients in a hospital, long-term care facility, home health, assisted living, or rehabilitation facility.
This class will teach you the skills, knowledge and abilities to care for patients of long-term care facilities. You will learn how to provide safety and preventive measures in the care of patients as well as how to function as a member of the health care team.
Students will learn how to provide basic nursing care to residents and learn how to communicate effectively based on the psychosocial needs of residents and their families.
