Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO®) course offers deeper coverage of Scrum framework and its application in the product discovery, product management and product development area.

Course Topics

• Agile values and principles. Agile values and 12 principles which form the overarching idea of becoming Agile. Group exercise

• Scrum foundation. The three legs of Scrum theory: transparency, inspection and adaptation. Simulation activity – Empirical Process and PDCA cycle

• Scrum framework. The roles, artefacts and events of the framework

• Product Owner role deep dive. Exercises and videos to explore the ScrumMaster role, challenges, qualities and anti-patterns.

• Product Vision, Roadmap and modelling. The Product Owner- customer relation, identifying customers, understanding customer pains, gain. Identifying and modelling potential solutions.

• Experimentation, Hypothesis and User stories.

• Product Backlog Management. Creating and refining a product backlog. Backlog ordering techniques.

• Agile estimation and planning. Estimation, planning and other practices which are commonly used.

We send you pre-workshop Scrum content so you can start familiarizing yourself with the Scrum Framework.

Though each CSPO course varies depending on the instructor, all Certified Scrum Product Owner® courses focus on Scrum from a product owner’s perspective.

All CSPO courses are taught by Certified Scrum Trainers (CST) approved by the Scrum Alliance. Like the CSM certification, there is no test for the CSPO certification.

Participants of the Certified Scrum Product Owner workshop will receive the CSPO designation from Scrum Alliance. CSPO certification is valid for two years.

If you already have CSM or CSD certification, getting CSPO certification automatically extends the validity of your CSM / CSD certifications for two years.
