CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst)

For students interested in a career in investment management, the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) designation is the credential to have. The Investment and Financial Analysis track within the finance major prepares students to take the Level I exam just after graduation, putting them on the path toward earning the sought-after CFA designation.

Within the capstone course for the Investment and Financial Analysis track, students take three mock exams, review the core material and practice test results, and work independently to hone their skills and prepare for the (actual) exam. 

This preparation, along with guidance on test-taking techniques and career options with the CFA designation, is designed to give students the knowledge and confidence they need to pass the rigorous exams and launch their careers. As CFA charter holders, graduates can pursue careers in security analysis, portfolio management, and other fields within the financial services industry.
