We established the UCan2 Dance Studio in 1993, with a dream and belief that everyone can learn to dance with the right teaching. That's where the dance school's name came from - You Can Too!
To provide dancers with additional stimulation, we introduced the Medal programme in 1995, and today there are medal tests for everyone who wishes to take part; from beginners to advanced level students, from social tests to Oscars. The UCan2 Dance Studio has amongst the highest level of entries for medal tests in New Zealand, and a history of excellent results.
Since 1998, when UCan2 students entered the New Zealand National Championships for the first time and won their first NZ titles, UCan2 couples have won in excess of 100 NZ titles (including every 'A' grade title available in New Zealand), well over 100 Australian, Australasian and South Pacific titles and have represented New Zealand at world events in Japan, Moscow, Finland, Czech Republic, Germany, Macau, Lithuania, Austria and Latvia. They are committed to training their competitive dancers to world level and encourage their participation in as many international events as possible.

Full of sensual movements, the Rumba is considered by many to be the sexiest of the ballroom dances. This dance of love is one of the most popular ballroom dances.
The term 'ballroom dancing' is derived from the word ball which in turn originates from the Latin word ballare which means 'to dance' (a ball-room being a large room specially designed for such dances).
One of the most versatile and fun dances of the Latin American family. The Cha Cha originates from Cuba. It got its name from the sound the feet make on the floor as it is danced 'Cha Cha Cha'.
Step by Step provide classes for all levels and ages; children classes, beginner classes and more advanced classes.
