The CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support is ideally for people already employed in the Aged Care sector, who wish to further develop their responsibilities and expertise. It is a common pathway into team leader or management roles and is recognised as a solid pathway to Enrolled and Registered Nursing.

Working in Aged Care is a rewarding career choice that makes a real difference to the quality of people’s lives. If you wish to work in this field, you must demonstrate genuine compassion for elderly people and empathy when dealing with others.

 

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support, however a preferred pathway into the program would be after completing:

  • CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or;

  • CHC30212 Certificate III in Aged Care (old qualification but provides a solid background with similar concepts and techniques).

 

Those already working in the industry would also be very well placed to undertake this training.

Students will also complete 120 hours of mandatory work placement outside of the classroom face to face timings.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
