With the support of our experienced instructors, you will first receive high school credit by completing the following courses:
Upon passing these five required CCS courses, you may also be eligible to apply for Level 1 Early Childhood Educator certification through the Alberta Child Care Staff Certification Office.
In addition, your program includes safety certificates, job coaching, a practicum, and support to find employment.
The Childcare Worker Program is funded by Alberta Immigration, and Multiculturalism and is offered at no cost to Permanent Residents, Convention Refugees, and Naturalized Canadian Citizens with language and cultural barriers.

Occupation-specific Language
The program will teach you vocabulary and language for working in the childcare industry.
Workplace Safety
The program will help you get certificates in WHMIS, and first aid.
Field Experience
The program includes a 1-month field experience to practise the skills you have learned.
Job Coaching with Support to Find Employment
The program will help you to write cover letters, resumes, apply for jobs online, and prepare you for phone and in-person interviews.
