About this course
Our Level 4 Professional Practice in CCPLD Apprenticeship enables learners to develop and demonstrate their advanced knowledge, skills and understanding in the context of children’s care, play, learning and development settings.
This course is suitable for
This Apprenticeship is primarily for those working in regulated childcare settings with families and children under the age of 8 and children’s services for those working with families and children 0-19.
This qualification has been developed in close collaboration with key sector stakeholders, including Social Care Wales and Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW).
What you will study
This Apprenticeship is practice-based and assesses learners’ knowledge and practice. It is designed for learners in work-based learning, further education and higher education.
Learners will be required to undertake a mixture of mandatory units and optional units (we will work with you to decide what optional units are relevant to your role, and your business).
When you agree to undertake an Apprenticeship, you may be required to complete Essential Skills qualifications, depending on your previous qualifications, the Apprenticeship level you are completing and your own particular needs.
Learning and assessment
This qualification will primarily be delivered through 1-to-1 sessions with a member of our delivery team, using a mixture of face-to-face and remote learning sessions.
Upon enrolment, learners are also allocated an assessor. Throughout the qualification, the assessor will visit the learner either at their workplace or remotely (for example, via Microsoft Teams) on a monthly basis, to support progress, observe and set tasks.
