INaWORD has pioneered Chinese training in Chennai, with Mandarin Chinese being one of our fastest-growing languages. We have learners from all walks of life – entrepreneurs, students & employees of corporations. The Chinese language learning courses at INaWORD combine the practical requirements of spoken Chinese with the coursework required to appear for the HSK international certification examinations.
Each of these courses is structured as a 40-hour programme, covering the necessary vocabulary requirements, with particular emphasis on pronunciation and understanding the challenging “4 tones” typical of Mandarin Chinese. INaWORD’s Chinese training courses are offered as a part of our “Flair” programme for adults (14 years upwards), as well as the “Affinity” corporate programme.
INaWORD is a multi-lingual foreign language institute that was set up in 2000, with the aim of imparting high-quality language training to students at different levels, from Beginner to Advanced. INaWORD conducts foreign language classes in French, German, Spanish, Japanese, & Mandarin Chinese for working professionals, entrepreneurs, and school and college students.
Starting with French classes in Chennai, we quickly added on German language courses followed by the Spanish language. Subsequently, we expanded the range of languages offered to include Japanese and Mandarin Chinese classes. Over the years, we have been able to help more than 25000 students with foreign language learning, and are gratified by a client satisfaction rating of over 9.5/10 on the “quality of teaching” parameter.
We are headquartered in Chennai, India, where we set up our state-of-the-art learning centre in Adyar in the year 2004, which is a hub of commercial activity, and close to the Chennai IT corridor. INaWORD Online, our suite of online foreign language learning courses, was launched in early 2020, enabling us to make our courses available to people from all over the world.
INaWORD courses prepare the learner for international certification exams – DELF for French, Start Deutsch and higher levels for German, DELE for Spanish, JLPT for Japanese and HSK for Mandarin Chinese. In 2011, INaWORD was appointed as the official DELE examination centre for Chennai by the Instituto Cervantes on behalf of the Government of Spain’s Ministry for Education, Culture & Sport. In this capacity, we have been conducting the annual DELE exams ever since.
The accent is on the spoken word; learning is developed in small groups in an interactive, warm and friendly atmosphere. Handled by a team of highly skilled instructors, the courses focus on improving conversational skills and other aspects of foreign language learning through role-play methods, lively discussion, extensive use of audio-visual aids and other contemporary teaching approaches.
Our classes are multi-disciplinary, and we integrate content from varied sources to enrich the learner’s classroom experience, both “in-person” as well as at INaWORD Online. We are firmly committed to continuously enhancing the quality of the learning environment at INaWORD.
