Chinese Studies
Chinese Studies delivers a solid understanding of Chinese society and culture and the foundational language skills essential to function with confidence in the Chinese-speaking world. Studies in this area have exchange and summer study opportunities, including to Peking University.

Sydney China Distinguished Fellows
The Sydney China Distinguished Fellowship features senior scholars specialising in Modern and Contemporary Chinese Literature, Culture or Translation Studies.
In collaboration with the China Studies Centre, the Sydney China Visitors program invites innovative and respected researchers in Chinese Studies around the world.
The fellowship is enabled by the vision and generosity of Mr James Lee, a University of Sydney alumnus now based in Hong Kong.

Chinese mandarin classes are offered from beginners to advanced level by La Lingua Language School.
New CLCS is offering full set of Chinese Classes for students aged from year 4 to VCE year 12. School is using imported Chinese textbook for all our classes, which is well designed by experienced language professor.
This course is designed for individuals, business travellers and/or any interested organisation. A range of topics will be covered by learning the language and gaining cross-cultural briefings.
This is a beginner’s level course. CITSOL language proficiency courses for professional purposes are ideal for people who need to develop second language skills to use in both everyday and work-related contexts.
Basic Mandarin course I is designed for students who have no or very limited prior knowledge of Chinese. You may not know basic Chinese words, and find it difficult to answer simple questions in Chinese.
