The U3A is an international volunteer organization providing educational, creative and leisure opportunities for people over 50 who are no longer in full-time employment. U3A Adelaide, located at the Box Factory, 59 Regent Street South, Adelaide, is one of some 21 independent U3A campuses in South Australia.
Our organization is run entirely by volunteers, utilizing the knowledge, experience, and skills of its members. We make new friends, learn from each other and share experiences in a relaxed, social environment.
With about 700 members and around 70 courses, members can choose from a wide range of classes and social activities. Our courses include languages, literature, music, philosophy, art, exercise and excursions. You can peruse the list of Courses before becoming a member.

AMEA’s I.S.B.L™ program (Immersive Situational-Based Learning) which was created in 2008, it was inspired by project learning. It is combined immersive language teaching method and problem solving based learning.

Our weekend Mandarin Classes and Japanese classes are designed for people who don’t speak Mandarin or Japanese at home to learn Mandarin or Japanese with fun.
For 3+ yrs old children. Specially selected materials coupled with fun activities to introduce Chinese language to young learners. Activities include weekly topic, craft, singing and dancing, and storytelling.
Open your world by learning some basic Chinese conversation skills. Many of our Mandarin language customers in Australia travel to China for business trips, or have an increasing number of customers from China.
