Our mission is to help people learn the secrets of the culinary arts and discover the richness of the National Capital Region’s terroir through its food, food producers, artisans and partners, all in a pleasant and memorable ambiance that only C’est Bon can offer.
C’est Bon has been operating as both a cooking school and food tour company since 2009. In 2016, founder Chef Andrée Riffou passed the C’est Bon torch on to Chef Georges Laurier and entrepreneur Stefanie Siska.
Georges and Stefanie wish to express their profound gratitude to Chef Andrée for inspiring residents and tourists of the National Capital Region alike to discover the great joys of cooking and plenitudes of our terroir foods.
Intended for all, young and old alike, families and companies, for all events, the Chocolate Initiation Workshop lets you discover the joys of chocolate creation. We’ll demonstrate basic techniques and show you a whole new way to explore chocolate! Discover the secrets of our chocolate world!
To begin, we will talk about chocolate: where its from, what it is (single origin, bean to bar etc.) and what we do with it while sampling chocolate during this segment.
No prior experience is required. Our friendly instructors will guide you through the process of creating delectable chocolates that are as beautiful as they are delicious.
Some of our specialty classes have included chocolate making, beer & wine menu pairing, bread making, musical guest “chefs” and mead making. These classes may include a hands-on component and always have something delicious to eat, although a full meal might not be included.
We will begin by teaching your team how to work with chocolate and take you through the steps of creating delicious truffles, from crystallizing chocolate to making ganache.
