This City & Guilds Level 2 industry recognised bricklaying qualification is specifically designed for beginners. The course encompasses the knowledge & skills required to work as a bricklayer or set up your own business.
The course will also grant you the technical skill & knowledge needed to further apply for a NVQ Level 2, and then for a blue CSCS card to work on site as a full time bricklayer.
Our course is a City & Guilds Level 2 qualification and is benchmarked at the same level as a GCSE A-C grade. The course is approximately 25% classroom-based and 75% practical, and also includes a certain amount of home study that takes approximately 2 hours per week.
As training providers the most important thing for us is that by the end of the course we will have built your confidence to start working and completing your own projects.

Our bricklaying courses have a maximum of 10 students at a time so that each student gets enough guidance and tuition from our tutors, ensuring you pass the course with all of the required knowledge and understanding. It allows you to ask questions and get plenty of one-to-one instruction
Since 2006, we have provided high quality, hands-on construction and welding skills. Whilst most of our students are individuals looking to train for a career in the building trades, we have trained students that came to us through Local Councils.
Job Centres and the Corporate Industry (including Jaguar/Land Rover, Peugeot, etc). We have also trained School & College students (Coventry College, Sherbourne Fields School, etc).
This short introductory course is ideal for those of you who want to gain some basic bricklaying skills. Those who complete the course will be provided with an Able Skills certificate, assured by City & Guilds.
This course will include decorative brickwork, herringbone, basket weave, dog toothing and dentil courses.
This apprenticeship standard is suitable for Bricklayers whose role involves laying bricks, blocks and other types of building components in mortar to construct and repair walls, foundations, partitions, arches and other structures such as chimney stacks.
You may be set on going into the trade industry but unsure which trade you would like to learn. With so many trades to choose from you may be having a difficult time pinpointing which to specialise in.
