Cloud Computing is a large-scale distributed computing paradigm which has become a driving force for information technology over the past several years. The exponential growth data size in scientific instrumentation/simulation and social media has triggered the wider use of cloud computing services.
This course covers topics and technologies related to Cloud Computing and their practical implementations. You should explore different architectural models of cloud computing, the concepts of virtualisation and cloud orchestration.
You should gain hands-on experience with various features of popular cloud platforms such as Google App Engine and Amazon Web Service throughout the lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions.
Advanced cloud programming paradigms such as Hadoop’s MapReduce is also included in the course. You should also learn the concept of modern Big Data analysis on cloud platforms using various data mining tools and techniques.
The lab sessions cover cloud application development and deployment, use of cloud storage, creation and configuration of virtual machines and data analysis on cloud using data mining tools.
Different application scenarios from popular domains that leverage the cloud technologies such as remote healthcare and social networks will be explained. The theoretical knowledge, practical sessions and assignments aim to help you to build your skills to develop large-scale industry standard applications using cloud platforms and tools.
RMIT was established in 1887 as the Working Men’s College with the aim of bringing education to the working people of Melbourne.
RMIT at a Glance:
Our teaching, learning and research programs are continually updated so that students, staff and graduates are equipped to meet the challenges of the 21st century.
At the same time, we have not forgotten our past as one of Australia’s original educational institutions, and we have remained true to our original philosophy.
Since 1887, our inner-city campus has been a vital part of the City of Melbourne, from the 1880s boom through world wars, the Great Depression and renewed prosperity during the second half of the 20th century.
RMIT was awarded royal patronage by Queen Elizabeth II for its educational service to the Commonwealth and contribution to the war effort, and RMIT remains the only higher education institution in Australia with the right to use the prefix “Royal” and the Monarchy's coat of arms.
During the 1990s, the institution gained university status and developed campuses in Bundoora and Brunswick in the city's northern suburbs, and later in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi in Vietnam.
In 2013, RMIT opened a research and industry collaboration centre in Barcelona, Spain. With significant teaching partnerships in Asia and Europe, as well as research and industry partnerships on every continent, RMIT has a strong global presence.
This course covers CloudForms tenants, interface customisation, timeline and event analysis, and service provisioning
The complexities of such cloud systems and services are evolving to incorporate the other technologies that surround it such as big data, security and virtualisation. Having a good understanding of cloud computing is invaluable to those who work in those environments.
In this course, students learn high level terminology, structure, security, deployment and migration practices as well as the general scope of Microsoft Cloud product offerings
Learn how to configure a message-based integration architecture, develop for asynchronous processing, create apps for autoscaling, and better understand Azure Cognitive Services solutions
Learn how Adobe Experience Cloud and Customer Experience Management can help you deliver relevant experiences to your customers.
