In developing and offering highly specialized technical programs with related supportive coursework, primary consideration shall be placed on the industrial and technological manpower needs of the state.
The emphasis of each Texas State Technical College System campus shall be on advanced or emerging technical programs not commonly offered by public junior colleges.
The Computer Programming Certificate is designed to provide students with skills in computer programming to enable graduates in gaining employment as an entry-level programmer.
This course covers the fundamental components of the Ruby Programming Language. Emphasis is placed on the object-oriented aspects of Ruby. Topics include arrays, hashes, regular expressions, io, exceptions, modules, and applications areas.
Elementary data types, arithmetic & logical operations, control structures & error handling, methods & functions, introduction to object-oriented programming design & implementation. Emphasis is placed on the development of problem-solving skills.
