Coding (LP101) course training is offered by Launchpad Learning for adults. Launchpad Learning has a lot to offer. We have many years of experience helping students from Mount Royal University, the University of Calgary, and SAIT. We are currently offering 1:1 classes for adults and are in the process of starting group classes.
Computer programming is at the core of everything that we do in today’s world. At L2I, we believe that technology is becoming an integral part of our lives. We are surrounded by technology, whether it’s in our hands, vehicles, or homes. Technology is making our lives simpler, but do we understand what goes into making these gadgets?
L2I is your platform to learn how stuff works. We want our kids to start developing these skills at an early age and keep pace with the rest of the world. We want you to be the creator of technology.
The Launchpad Difference
We combine traditional learning techniques with modern technology. We take pride in the success of our students.
Instructors led small classes to ensure individual attention
Mini-project in each class and capstone project at the end of the course
Homework after every class and homework assistance provided
Progress chart for every student and parent interactions
Coding, Building, Computational Thinking, Teamwork, Lots of fun! Kids will create, build, program and operate robotic animals, machines and vehicles with LEGO® Education WeDo and Mindstorms . Along the way they learn computational and critical thinking, problem solving and teamwork skills.
Kids learn how to code in Python and test their skills in the most future-oriented IT fields, from game development to machine learning expertise. We focus on solving concrete problems, not abstract tasks: how you can send a friend an encrypted message, or add a scoring system to your game.
Using the Lego Mindstorm and Lego WeDo platforms, students can build robots and use software to plan, test and modify sequences of instructions from a variety of real life robotic behaviors. Our programs tap into the children’s innate desire to explore, create.
At Coding School for kids, fun is coding and coding is fun. The kids learn important coding concepts using screen-free activities and then apply them in a variety of way using apps, robots and computers.
Scratch is a block based visual programming language developed by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Media lab. Scratch is designed for young learners as a tool for programming.
