Course Details:

Upon successful completion of all course requirements, participants will be able to:

• Know and understand relevant workplace health and safety legislation, standards and codes of practice.
• Identify understand terminology specific to the operation of four wheel drive vehicles.
• Plan for the environmental impact of a journey.
• Perform pre-start checks and routine maintenance prior to undertaking a journey.
• Safely operate a four wheel drive vehicle, including engaging four wheel drive mode.
• Safely carry out vehicle recovery activities.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs after a journey.

Participants will complete RIIVEH201E Operate light vehicle, RIIVEH305F Operate and maintain a four wheel drive vehicle & PMASUP236 Operate vehicles in the field.

Outcomes:

• This course is nationally recognised (accredited).
• Participants who successfully complete all requirements will be issued with a Statement of Attainment and competency card
