This program will teach participants the basic concepts of conflict management and resolution by expanding their knowledge and awareness of the structured processes involved. Participants will learn the difference between interests and positions, the effects of strong emotions, and the five speaking strategies for conflict situations.
Learning Objectives
CTI is a National Voluntary Organization that offers a unique service in support of safer, healthy communities. More than five thousand individuals have received certified training through CTI. We help government agencies and corporations create safe customer service environments.
We help staff members and volunteers in residential and related programs address family violence, mental health, addictions, ex-offenders, and the physically or mentally challenged.
Our goal is to contribute to the development of knowledge, skills and services that reduce social conflict and promote active participation that builds healthy individuals, agencies, workplaces and communities. Our passion is to help people who help people.

CTI is a non-profit organization that offers high-quality specialized training programs and workshops to youth at risk in addition to consulting assistance and applied research projects for criminal justice and related human service agencies and companies.
CTI clients include organizations and companies, and their customers/clients in the areas of mental health, addictions, criminal justice, youth work, shelters, hostels, community health and community centres; as well as, hospitals, schools, various branches of government and companies.

This course will introduce how to prepare for negotiation, how to determine whether potential agreements are good or bad, and how to be most persuasive when presenting offers.
Learn the skills for working through inner politics and misunderstandings leading to conflict, arguments, and disputes, and explore a balanced approach to dealing with conflict
This session will help team members find that “sweet spot” where they can productively use differences of opinion, resolve destructive conflict, and find common ground in the team setting.
This workshop focuses on identifying, honing, and using emotional skills to better handle difficult conversations.
Conflict is a clash of interests, attitudes or ideas between individuals. Understanding the dynamics behind conflict and building effective communication skills are key factors to conflict resolution.
