This package equips you with the fundamental skills to launch your business within the holistic massage industry. You will be taught how to competently performSwedish massage, hot stone massage, pregnancy massage and Indian head massage.

Students will need to provide a model for this course.

BC Beauty Training will provide all products and equipment for the course, you are not required to purchase any kit to complete this course.

Course Overview

Here at BC Beauty Training, we specialise in one to one training, enabling us to give you our full attention and allowing you to take the course at your pace. We do offer courses to more than one student at a time. If you would like to take a course with a colleague or friend, you would both qualify for a discount of 10% off of your course price.

We like to keep our groups small, so as to not dilute the quality of our training. Groups can be up to 4 at one time. If groups are larger, we will have two trainers onsite.

We ask that students arrive on time for their course for a prompt start. We start our session with the theory of the treatment and discuss the course manual that you are sent upon time of booking. The remaining time of the course will be spent carrying out the practical aspect of the course and learning the treatment hands on with demonstrations and your trainer guiding you through.

There is some home study to be completed prior to your practical session, this is sent out to you when you book your course.

Using a variety of massage movements, you will learn how to perform a professional full body massage that can be tailored to a shorter express treatment or longer luxurious massage.

Hot stone massage uses heated volcanic basalt stones to massage deeper into the muscle with the aid of heat to relieve tension.Stones can be used as an extension of the therapists hands during massage and also placed onto areas to warm the muscles.

Using a variety of different sized and shaped stones, you will learn how to provide a deeply relaxing treatment which your clients are bound to rebook again and again. Using the heat and pressure from the stones requires minimal effort from the therapist.

Indian head massage focuses on the upper part of the body including the back, neck, arms, shoulder, scalp and face. This massage works with marma points around the head, face and neck to relive tensions in the body and mind.  Indian head massages can be carried out using dry hands over clothes if the client wishes or using a range of massage mediums that will be covered in you theory manual.

Indian head massage relieves many stress-related problems and is a popular treatment with clients of all ages. Throughout the massage the therapist can work with chakras and marma points to restore balance and alleviate tensions.

Pregnancy massage is a specialised technique that can only be carried out by qualified therapists. During this course, you will learn how to carry out an in depth consultation, ensuring that massage can be safely carried out and meets the clients needs.

You will focus on the comfort of the client throughout the massage, positioning them differently to other massage techniques and using movements to soothe and relax.  

Pregnancy massage is most beneficial if carried out regularly to mother and baby, enticing your clients to book in and bringing in a regular income.

Massage is most effective when received on a regular basis, making it a good choice to add to your portfolio and establishing a continuous source of income. Established therapists can expect to be charging £45+ per hour.

Qualifications Received

Upon completion of this course, you will receive an accredited diploma qualification.

We are accredited by ABT and The Guild of Beauty Therapists, this enables you to gain insurance one qualified so that you can then offeryour treatments to the public.
