CompTIA PenTest+ is for cybersecurity professionals tasked with penetration testing and vulnerability management.

PenTest+ (PT0-002) has been updated to address newer pen testing techniques for the latest attack surfaces, including the cloud, hybrid environments, web applications, and more ethical hacking concepts, vulnerability scanning, and code analysis.

In addition, it covers best practices, and the latest techniques cybersecurity professionals use to plan, scope, and manage weaknesses and not simply exploit them, strengthening an organisation’s security and preventing the next attack.

The CompTIA PenTest+ will certify the successful candidate has the knowledge and skills required to plan and scope a penetration testing engagement including vulnerability scanning, understand legal and compliance requirements, analyse results, and produce a written report with remediation techniques.?

This five-day instructor-led training course will help you prepare for the CompTIA PenTest+ (PT0-002) exam.

On successful course completion, students will be able to:

• Plan and scope a penetration testing engagement

• Understand legal and compliance requirements

• Perform vulnerability scanning and penetration testing using appropriate tools and techniques, and then analyse the results

• Produce a written report containing proposed remediation techniques, effectively communicate results to the management team, and provide practical recommendations
