CompTIA Security+

CompTIA Security+ is a certification prep course. This course validates the baseline skills necessary to perform core security functions and pursue an IT security career. It establishes the core knowledge required of any cybersecurity role and provides a springboard to intermediate-level cybersecurity jobs.

Security+ incorporates best practices in hands-on troubleshooting, ensuring candidates have practical security problem-solving skills required to: Assess the security posture of an enterprise environment and recommend and implement appropriate security solutions, Monitor and secure hybrid environments, including cloud, mobile, and IoT, Operate with an awareness of applicable laws and policies, including principles of governance, risk, and compliance, and Identify, analyze, and respond to security events and incidents.

This course uses CompTIA's online platform CertMaster Learn and Labs. Instructional lessons are combined with videos, practice questions, and performance-based questions and virtual labs to provide hours of content aligned with the CompTIA exam objectives. Essential skills are learned through discussion, demonstration and labs to install, configure, optimize, troubleshoot, repair, upgrade, and perform preventive maintenance on PCs, digital devices, and operating systems..

Tuition includes books and access to quizzes, practice tests and other resources for certification preparation- everything you need to enter the exam confident in your skill set.

While MNTC provides you with learning resources to prepare for a successful exam experience, certification exams must be scheduled through Pearson VUE. Exam may be taken in our Assessment Center or online at home. Certification Exam is not included. Student discounts are as much as 50%.
