This is the introductory course for our computer curriculum and is a pre-requisite for higher level courses. All computer students must take this course or meet with the teacher to prove they have the skills necessary to move to the next level.
Over the course of the 12-week term, students in this course will master digital illustration, photo manipulation/photoshop/editing, graphic design skills, and basic 3D sculpting and printing skills, all of which form the foundation for a progressive education in animation and game design.
Monart is more than a method that teaches people how to draw. Leading educators recognize Monart as a teaching system that helps students to focus and concentrate, make decisions, solve problems, sequence and develop hand-eye coordination.
In a peaceful environment students learn that drawing is a teachable subject in which anyone can be successful. Just as we are taught how to combine basic phonetic rules.
To read, musical notes to play an instrument, and dance steps to dance, the Monart Method teaches the individual to draw using the five basic Elements of Shape.
3D printing (also known as Additive Manufacturing or AM) is a process used to quickly create or "print out" three-dimensional objects using computer control to fuse materials together.
Learning how to create 3D printable geometry in various applications; AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, 3D Studio Max. Prepare your design for 3D printing and check for errors. We will discuss the various techniques for repairing errors.
Application of fundamental technologies in 3D printing and additive processes for polymers, metals, composites, and biomaterials. Equipment, process, and material selection for design applications such as electronics, medical devices, aerospace, vehicles and consumer products
3D Printing is powerful tool in rapid fabrication and prototyping. Participants will be given an overview of 3D Printing technologies and FDM 3D Printer operation:
3D Printing and Drawing program is offered by Houston Community College. Continuing Education Advanced Manufacturing has a new Fabrication Lab for students, engineers, and the general public to learn how to create objects using the standard and most recent digital tools, including 3D printers.
