Core Themes
We have adopted three Core Themes to guide us as we engage the culture and help to bring about positive change in the world:
SPU’s mission is to engage the culture and change the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our core themes tell how.
Engineering analysis and design concepts are integrated throughout both programs, culminating in a common major design experience involving a broad range of issues including economic and societal considerations.
The goal of the Computer Engineering Technology program is to provide students with a high quality applications-oriented undergraduate education based on state-of-the-art technology as a preparation for productive employment in the broad field of microcomputer applications.
The Computer Engineering (CompE) program bridges the curriculum gap between Computer Science and Electrical Engineering. Computer engineers deal with the hardware and software aspects of computer system design and development.
Computer Engineering is one of two BS programs offered by the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering. Where would we be without computers? Modern computers are complex systems that may consist of single machines or many interconnected computers linked by a network.
The Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering (B.S.Cmp.E.) degree curriculum prepares students to combine analytical skills, hardware expertise, and software knowledge to design the computer systems, software, networks, and operating systems that are changing the world as we know it.
