This certificate provides students with the opportunity to learn the skills needed to test for the A+ industry certification. This certificate may also lead to the AAS CIS – IT Tech and Support CCA degree.
This certificate is offered in both traditional and in an accelerated pace format. In the accelerated pace format, credits can be earned through prior learning assessment and evidence of competency achievement.
The Community College of Aurora was founded in 1983 and has vibrant campuses in Aurora and Denver, Colorado. Computer engineers specialize in the design of computers, computer systems, and other digitally based hardware devices. Computer engineers must also be proficient in software design.
Engineering analysis and design concepts are integrated throughout both programs, culminating in a common major design experience involving a broad range of issues including economic and societal considerations.
The goal of the Computer Engineering Technology program is to provide students with a high quality applications-oriented undergraduate education based on state-of-the-art technology as a preparation for productive employment in the broad field of microcomputer applications.
Who designs the bridge between hardware and software? Computer engineers! Graduates of this program go on to analyze and design computers, peripheral devices, or embedded systems such as those found in today’s smart appliances and transportation.
